Plastic welding training and instruction

TRAINING IN PLASTICS WELDING

Training is provided in hot gas and extrusion welding, butt fusion, socket fusion and electro-fusion of pipe installations and hot wedge and extrusion welding of geomembranes. 

The training is delivered by fully qualified Plasweld training instructors with more than 10 years teaching experience in these processes throughout the UK and abroad, and can be designed to fulfill the individual needs of the client.

The training can be delivered either at our purpose-equipped facility in Redcar, Cleveland or at the client's premises.

The basic elements making up the training courses are as follows: 

TRAINING – SPECIFIC COURSES 

A) At Plasweld's premises in Redcar

All courses minimum one person, maximum six persons per session.

Appreciation: 1 day course 

Butt weld and electro: 2 day course 

Hot gas: 5 day course 

Injectiweld: 1 day course 

B) At clients own premises

All courses minimum one person, maximum six persons per session.

TRAINING – BASIC INTRODUCTORY COURSE

This course is specifically tailored to suit beginners interested in all aspects of plastic welding, and includes :

• PP welding in hot gas, butt, fillet and circumferential welding.

• PVC welding in hot gas, butt, fillet and circumferential welding.

• Extrusion welding/discussion on theory and a minor practical element. If required the course can be modified to include for geomembranes (HDPE) and pipes (HDPE and PP).

• A set of course notes to take away

• A Plasweld Ltd. Certificate of Attendance only.

C) At Plasweld premises Redcar

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Typical course content: includes materials, equipment, light cold lunch and refreshments (if course attended at Plasweld Ltd premises), course notes and a Certificate of Attendance only. (Please note that whilst all training is carried out in line with the requirements of EN 13067 no formal qualification is linked to the Plasweld Ltd training courses. However, if candidates are involved in a specific industry and wish to apply for formal certification in any specific category or categories and meet the minimum requirement for Basic/Entry Level or Standard/Level 1 certification this can be offered and expedited through Plasweld Ltd and independently assessed by Lloyd’s Register EMEA.
